Concert #15, Heather Dale at the Superior lakeside home of Joyce D'Angelo

I’m still vibrating from a night of being taken to far away places and far away times both in the spoken word and in song. Heather Dale was a gem in the living room of Joyce D’Angelo. With a picture perfect window view of Lake Superior framed by pines and the white trunk of a birch, the night was magical. And the ambiance was even more enhanced as the sun dropped to a point where only the cliffs of our Sleeping Giant were illuminated. Wow, are we blessed or what?

Heather has a knack for enhancing her songs with the stories she tells to introduce the song. Then her beautiful voice surrounded by an aura of truly enjoying her craft and art, created an atmosphere of beauty, admiration and simply enjoyment.

Peter Panetta of the Underground Gym (the evening’s charity) said a few words of his grass roots establishment that he has grown from scratch. In his short talk it was quite evident that he whole-heartedly cares and loves the kids that attend his place which is a haven from the dangerously tempting streets of the Simpson Street area. We raised $470.00 which was shared between the Underground Gym and Heather Dale. Thanks so much for everyone's generosity!

Thank you Heather, Ben (strings), John (percussion) for a great evening of celtic music with a twist, and letting me sit in (actually stand) with you with me harmonica. Thank you everyone for attending, pitching in with food and drink, helping out Joyce, and donating towards Heather Dale’s band and the Underground Gym. Thank you Peter for being an inspiration to us in demonstrating a true service to our fellow human beings. And lastly thank you Joyce for offering your home and all the preparations which laid the basework to a memorable evening; a truly enchanting space – your living room overlooking the magestic Lake Superior, and our endearing Sleeping Giant.
